Former Milford officer sentenced in teens' deaths
A former Milford police officer was sentenced Wednesday to one year in prison for a crash that killed two teens from Orange.
Jason Anderson received a five-year sentence in 2013 and remained free on bond until Wednesday because the State Supreme Court reversed an Appeals Court ruling that had overturned his original conviction.
As News 12 reported, dashcam video showed that Anderson was not on an emergency call in June 2009, but was traveling at 94 mph when his cruiser crashed into a car driven by David Servin and carrying passenger Ashlie Krakowski on the Post Road in Orange.
Anderson's attorney argued that Servin, who was driving the car, was drunk at the time of the crash.
Defense Attorney Hugh Keefe says the families of Servin and Krakowski were in court Wednesday and objected to the agreement.
