Two local radio personalities who lost their jobs during the pandemic are finding a lot of success with the launch of a new online show.
Tony Reno and Mike Bellamy formerly from “Tony & Mike In the Morning” on WICC-AM were let go because of the pandemic and a company buyout.
However, now they’re back in an online format, and the two say they are seeing a lot of success.
Thousands of people are tuning in for their weekly show on Facebook, proving that when one door closes another opens.
For more than a decade, Reno and Bellamy flourished in their original broadcast program on WICC, and it didn't stop them after their show was taken off the air.
They say they knew their fans wanted a regular fix of the unique talk-format programming that left an indelible mark on their listeners over the years.
Recently, the two had a reunion show on Facebook back in July called “Tony & Mike’s New Adventure.”
They say it's become so popular that they have decided to keep going.
They are now on their eighth show.
