The Connecticut Mission of Mercy offered free dental care to residents in Danbury on Friday.
The clinic was held at Western Connecticut State University. A variety of services were offered including dental implants, X-rays and teeth cleanings at absolutely no cost.
The gymnasium was turned into the state's largest dental office, with a roster of talented and generous specialists.
"We don't check to see if you have insurance," said Mission of Mercy Chairman Dr. Bruce Tandy. "We don't check with your doctor. We don't check anything other than if you're willing to come, spend the day with us and check your teeth problem."
Organizers say a two-day event like this costs more than $350,000. They rely on sponsors, dental insurance and dental supply companies to help foot the bill.
