Gathering of the Vibes Festival underway at Seaside Park in Bridgeport

Thousands put on their dancing shoes and packed Bridgeport's Seaside Park Friday for the annual Gathering of the Vibes Festival.
The event kicked off yesterday and is set to last through the weekend.
Bands that performed Friday at the festival include Slightly Stoopid and John Fogerty, formerly of Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Some residents say they attend the event every year, and they love the atmosphere.
Organizers say numbers are on-par with last year's event; about 20,000 people have been attending the festivities each day.
The festival also includes food, carnival rides and an area for kids.
