Georgetown firefighters deliver donations to Sandy victims
Firefighters from Georgetown have made donations to their counterparts in Breezy Point in order to help them clean up after Superstorm Sandy.Officials say they put out a call for donations after feeling helpless watching fellow firefighters clean up the mess left by Sandy.The community responded with truckloads of donations to be sent to the neighboring firefighters.Six Georgetown volunteer firefighters will also spend the day cleaning up West Hamilton Fire Department, which lost everything in the storm, including its ambulance. Georgetown has donated a spare one.Donations can be left at the Georgetown fire station.
