A good Samaritan found and returned a missing bag of cash and checks to a small barbershop in Greenwich.
Alex Bruno, 22, said he was at Stop and Shop in Stamford when something in a cart caught his eye.
That something turned out to be a bank bag stuffed with a pile of checks and more than $2,000 in cash.
Bruno looked online and realized the money belonged to Village Barbers, a small family-owned barbershop in Old Greenwich.
He sent them an email and heard back right away.
Bruno says his mom used to handle the money for a small business and he wanted to make her proud.
The barbers insisted Bruno accept a reward for his efforts.
