Grady High School tried to clip Wings Academy in hoops for a second year, this time at the Daily News Borough Challenge on Saturday.
Wings' Kidani Brutus scored a three-pointer, helping the team build a 10-point lead at one point in the game. B.J. Warrington stepped up his play, racking up 12 points. Jamie Harris also came through for the team. Wings Academy knocked off Grady 59-47.
Wings players say the victory was especially sweet. Last year, Wings was the top seed in the PSAL playoffs and enjoyed a 31-game winning streak. Grady beat the team in the semifinals, ending the Wings' season.
