Greenwich Emergency Medical Services say it?s concerned about the safety of boaters this holiday weekend because for the first time in years, it won't be allowed to assist on the waters.
Greenwich EMS says its insurance company won't let it assist on the police department's marine boat because of worker's comp issues. For now, the police department's marine division will step in and respond accordingly.
News 12 Connecticut put a call in to the insurance company, Connecticut Hospital Association, but it refused to comment.
