Fire officials are continuing to investigate what caused a Greenwich liquor store fire Saturday night.
All the Best Wines and Liquors on East Putnam Avenue caught fire just after 10 p.m., but officials haven't determined what caused it.
Officials say that although the liquor made the fire very hot, it also helped the fire vent itself. The extreme heat broke windows, helping the gases and smoke to escape, firefighters say.
"There is extensive damage to the liquor store," Greenwich Deputy Chief Tom Nixon says.
Diaby Salia, the store's manager, visited the store Sunday.
"I've been here for 13 years. It's sad. For 13 years, that's my life," says Salia. "I've never seen anything like that before."
