A grieving Bridgeport family is mourning the sudden death of a 1-year-old child.

The girl, Dezyre Armfield, was found unresponsive in her family's home this week. She was rushed to Yale New Haven Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police are calling it an untimely death, and the cause remains under investigation.

Family members are now trying to raise enough funds to pay for the funeral of a child who is remembered as a happy-go-lucky girl with a gentle disposition.
