Gym members wary after locker break-ins
A Bronx resident had nearly $200 stolen out of his gym locker last week.
Nestor Tanoh discovered that the lock on his gym locker at the 22th Street Planet Fitness had been cut on April 17.
Tanoh says the locker was open and his wallet containing $171 was gone.
Police say the incident is one of eight property crimes that have happened at the Planet Fitness in the past year.
Officials are urging members to be aware of their surroundings while they work out and are asking them to try and leave valuable items at home.
A Planet Fitness spokesperson says there are cameras at the entrances of locker rooms to show who's going in and out.
They say gym members can use lockers outside the locker rooms that always have cameras on them.
