A public hearing is being held in Stamford tonight to discuss the proposed rate increase for Connecticut Light & Power customers.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal says CL&P wants to increase its fixed monthly service charge by 59 percent.
This means customers would be paying about $150 more each year.
The meeting will be at the Stamford Government Center on Washington Boulevard starting at 6:30 p.m.
