A home surveillance camera captured the moment that a car crashed into a house in Bridgeport while a 59-year old woman was asleep in bed.
Dominga Gonzalez tells News 12 that she’s lucky to be alive today after a car crashed into her house on Park Avenue Thursday, taking out her front door.
It happened at 6:17 a.m. and was captured on her home security camera.
Gonzalez says she was still in bed when the driver of a Dodge Caliber traveling north on Park Avenue somehow lost control of his vehicle and slammed into her house, causing an estimated $40,000 worth of damage.
Gonzalez says the driver was behind the wheel of his friend’s mother’s car when the accident happened.

Video shows the driver narrowly miss a car that was turning through the intersection before crashing into the home.
Officials say luckily no one was hurt and that the crash is under investigation.
