Hundreds celebrate the life of Bridgeport teen killed in crash
Family and friends said goodbye Thursday to a Bridgeport teen who died in a car accident last week.
Several hundred people joined the "Celebration of Life Service" for 14-year-old Nia Stephenson at the Union Baptist Church in Stamford. Her friends say they will always remember Stephenson?s warm personality. They say she had a way of making others smile and for bringing family and friends together. Stephenson was on her way to school when the car she was in collided with another car. Police say black ice and glare from the sun may have been factors in the crash. Her father, who was also in the accident, remains in fair condition at Bridgeport Hospital. Stephenson will be laid to rest at St. John's Cemetery in Darien.
