Hundreds of immigrants marched, shouted, and waved signs Monday in front of Stamford's Government Center.The rally was one of several held nationwide as part of "A Day Without Immigrants" boycott. Undocumented workers stayed home from work and school across the country in an effort to prove how important they are to the nation?s economy.

Boycott supporters say they want the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. to earn citizenship.
