A tractor-trailer accident on I-95 snarled traffic Tuesday morning for southwestern Connecticut residents.
Officials say the accident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. on the northbound side of I-95 near exit 19. According to officials, the tractor-trailer's driver was trying to avoid a fallen tree on the road and crashed into an off-duty Norwalk police officer.
Police say the truck driver and police officer suffered minor injuries and all lanes were opened three hours later.
Anyone with information about how the tree ended up on I-95 is asked to notify authorities.
