The newly renovated service plaza on I-95 south in Fairfield opened for its first full day of business Friday.
The rest area has a McDonald's, Subway, Dunkin' Donuts, a convenience store and a gas station.
It's the 20th of 23 service plazas in the state to be completely renovated.
The plaza is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
