Jersey Mike’s Subs donates proceeds to Make-A-Wish Connecticut
Jersey Mike’s sub shops across the state helped raise money Wednesday to help make wishes come true for sick children.
News 12 was at Jersey Mike’s on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, one of 11 locations in Connecticut where 100 percent of the proceeds went toward Make-A-Wish Connecticut.
The foundation for years has been granting grant wishes for children battling critical illnesses.
One of those recipients is Jaden, a 6-year-old from Bridgeport, who has had two open heart procedures and suffered a stroke that left him with a spinal cord injury. His mother called Jersey Mike’s contributions “heartwarming.”
Make-A-Wish granted Jaden a Disney cruise. Now he wants to go on another one.
Jersey Mike's says it’s been working with Make-A-Wish Connecticut for seven years and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars.
