John McKinney is looking to claim a spot in the November election with a win tonight in the Republican gubernatorial primary.
McKinney and his supporters will be spending the night at the Local Kitchen restaurant in Fairfield.
McKinney is the top-ranking Republican in the state Legislature and has been in the state Senate for 15 years.
McKinney has spent recent weeks campaigning hard with a packed public schedule nearly every day.
He is facing Tom Foley, who is the party-endorsed candidate.
