A year after leading the school's football program to one of its best seasons ever, Notre Dame Fairfield's John Johnson has been appointed to the school's new athletic director.

Johnson guided the Lancers all the way to the Class S playoffs in 2021 - Notre Dame's first postseason appearance in football in nearly 20 years.

Now in addition to manning the sidelines on gameday, Johnson will oversee the rest of the Lancer athletic teams in the entire program.
