Ida caused beach erosion so bad at Lake Mohegan in Fairfield that town officials decided to close the lake for the season.
One neighborhood in Fairfield was also flooded after Ida dumped heavy rains into the Rooster River.
The Rooster River overflowed its banks resulting in major flooding on Lewis Drive and Lynnbrook Road.
Neighbors tell News 12 it's the second time it's happened, and the first was the result of a torrential rainstorm a few years ago.
Gould Manor Park also saw heavy rains that wiped away materials supposed to be used for a massive renovation project.
First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick has requested to allocate more than $3 million in American Rescue Plan money to repairing the Rooster River.
