Connecticut legislative leaders released the final tolls bills they plan to vote on early next week.

The plan only allows tractor-trailers to be tolled on a dozen bridges, including five on Interstate 95. In-state truckers would pay between $6 and $13 per bridge. Out-of-state truckers would pay more.

The bill specifically forbids tolls on passenger cars and smaller trucks.

Rate increases would be approved by a new Transportation Policy Council, appointed by members of both parties and the governor.

State lawmakers would not get to vote on rate increases.

The bill requires all toll money to go straight into the state's transportation fund.

A public hearing will be held Friday in Hartford at 1 p.m. Lawmakers could vote on tolls as early as next Monday.
