A lawsuit filed by a woman in New Haven Superior Court claims a doctor used his own sperm to artificially inseminate when she was seeking fertility treatment in 1986.
The woman says she had a daughter in 1987.
Court documents say the woman and her daughter discovered that Dr. Burton Caldwell, of Clinton, was the biological father after her daughter took a DNA test last year.
The lawsuit claims the woman has 22 half-siblings who share the doctor as their father.
Caldwell reportedly retired 10 years ago.
