Veteran Senator Joseph Lieberman (D) campaigned tirelessly Tuesday to steal the state?s Democratic Senate nomination from political unknown Ned Lamont.
A new Quinnipiac University poll shows that the three-term senator is quickly closing the gap with Lamont, trailing him by only six points. Lieberman and his family appeared upbeat as they entered a New Haven polling station in the morning. The senator said he?s confident he?ll win and that people will vote for the experienced candidate.
Should Lieberman fail to win his party?s nomination, he has said he will run as an independent. To see video of Ned Lamont speaking about the election click here.Related information:Lieberman, Lamont make final push in campaigns ahead of CT Democratic primary
