While holiday decorations may mostly be a memory, there was a special glow in Westport Wednesday night to help feed children.
Organizers of Light Up Westport say they wanted to create an event that would bring people together and create beauty. They say around 1,000 blue luminaries were sold, and they asked people to put them outside.
The lights cost $10 a piece, and the proceeds will go to Filling in the Blanks - which distributes food through schools so children can have enough to eat when they don't have access to free meals.
