Monday to voice concern for his family's safety as protests and violence rage back home.

The man, asking only to be identified as Ahmad, says the most he can do is try to keep in touch with his family as much as possible. Contacting them has become a challenge due to erratic phone lines, but Ahmad he's had some luck and last he heard his friends and family were safe.

Ahmad supports reformist Mir-Hossein Mousavi and believes he is the real election winner. He is shocked by the violence that has been broadcast. Ahmad says he would be on the streets if he was in Iran, but he would take his cues from the protestors of the 60s.

"Rather than carrying a stone, probably I would carry some flowers, and as long as you tell the truth, the truth shall save you," he says.
