A Stratford man gave his friends and family a pleasant surprise with his return from active military duty.
Sgt. Jonathan Santiago is a member of the U.S. Army Reserves and was deployed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for the past 11 months.
He surprised his family while they were eating dinner at the American Steak House in Bridgeport.
Santiago says his family had no idea he was coming home.
He says he arrived back to the U.S. just a few hours before yesterday's dinner.
