Local volunteers headed to SC to help in flood relief

The American Red Cross says it is helping tens of thousands of people impacted by the deadly flooding in South Carolina. Locally, two people from southwestern Connecticut are on their way to help.

The American Red Cross says it is helping tens of thousands of people impacted by the deadly flooding in South Carolina.
Locally, two people from southwestern Connecticut are on their way to help. They will be giving victims essential toiletries to get them through the next few days.
The volunteers, who often work long days, could be there for up to three weeks.
The Red Cross says it has already launched a relief operation, providing shelter, food and supplies to victims.
