Teachers at Bridgeport's Longfellow School are celebrating improved mastery test scores.
Longfellow educators say part of the way scores have gone up has been through getting parents more involved. Part of that reaching out is thanks to Home School Coordinator June McClendon.
"My mission statement is help the parents so the parents can help the child so the child can succeed," says McClendon.
