Maintenance worker at Westport PD arrested, fired over pill
Police say a maintenance worker at the Westport Police Department has been fired and arrested after he dropped an Oxycodone painkiller pill he did not have a prescription for.
The Westport police chief says he witnessed this incident.
Police say Victor Ramirez, 50, did not have a prescription for the one Oxycodone tablet he had folded up in a piece of paper.
They say Ramirez admitted buying the tablet illegally from someone in Norwalk.
