Make-A-Wish Connecticut is asking the public for help after 40 trips in April were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The organization is asking people to post a video to social media using #wishesarewaiting. It says users can post anything to help the children feel better, but plans to start asking for specific requests.
Donations, such as gift cards, can also help provide children like Daniela, of Stratford, with treats.
The organization says that children partnered with Make-A-Wish can teach us about coping with social distancing, and that despite the annual gala being called off, their mission continues.
A spokesperson tells News 12 Make A Wish is determined to rebook all of the trips when traveling is safe. They say 80% of the children's wishes involve travel.
