Gov. Dannel Malloy received a memo from the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection Commissioner today, attempting to clear up some of the facts surrounding a previous memo given to state police about ticket quotas.
The commissioner stated in the memo that there were suggested goals regarding tickets, but police officers are never given a required number of tickets per month.
The commissioner also said that the police lieutenant, who sent out the memo, has apologized for any misunderstanding it may have caused.
