A Stamford man is being held on $100,000 bond for allegedly beating his mother so badly she had to undergo surgery.
Police say Timothy Anderson, 42, began punching his mother in the face yesterday after she asked him if he took his medication.
Investigators say the 76-year-old victim shouted for help and Anderson's brother had to pull him off of her.
Police say the victim suffered internal bleeding and had to have a portion of her skull removed to relieve pressure on her brain.
Officials say she is still in the hospital in grave condition.
