A Rocky Point man is accused of robbing a bank in Suffolk County.
Police say Robert Van Helden walked into the TD Bank location on Nesconset Highway in Port Jefferson Station Friday around 6:30 p.m. He allegedly handed the teller a note demanding cash.
The teller complied, and police say Van Helden then fled on foot.
The 32-year-old was taken into custody a short time later at the Home Depot store in Selden.
