Man arrested in Success Village shooting
Bridgeport police arrested a man Thursday in connection with last month's shooting in Success Village on Granfield Avenue.
Investigators say Edward Myers, 50, got into an argument with another man about the victim's ex-wife. Then he allegedly started shooting.
Myers appeared in court Thursday morning on charges that included first-degree assault. Records show he was on parole for a previous gun conviction. Police say there was also an outstanding warrant for his arrest when they took him into custody.
The judge set his bond at $750,000, and he is due back in court next month.
Police say surveillance video of the incident clearly shows him walking up on the victim and firing repeatedly.
The victim was shot once in the leg. Investigators say the shots were aimed at his groin.
