Police: Man killed by hit-and-run driver in Bridgeport's North End

Authorities say a Bridgeport man was struck and killed Friday night by a hit-and-run driver in the city's North End. 
The incident occurred in the 600 block of Sylvan Avenue around 8 p.m. 
Authorities say 66-year-old Nathaniel Dubose, known as Nate to his friends and family, was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was out for a walk when they say he was struck by a gray or silver car going south on Sylvan Avenue. 
Police say Dubose was rushed to St. Vincent's Medical Center suffering from severe head trauma. He later died there.  
News 12 Connecticut was on the scene as police closed off a portion of Sylvan Avenue, spoke with witnesses and collected evidence. 
Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to call police.
