Police say a man died after crashing his car into a tree off Daniels Farm Road.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say Scott Polke, 59, of Clover Hill Road, died of his injuries at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport.

Police say Polke was traveling south on Daniels Farm Road before colliding with a tree near Laurel Street.

They say Polke was the only driver involved in the crash and that the accident remains under investigation.
