Man killed in Stratford crash
State police are investigating a crash that killed a Bridgeport man and shut down the Merritt Parkway for seven hours yesterday. The crash happened at around 1:30 a.m. near Exit 53 in Stratford.

State police are investigating a crash that killed a Bridgeport man and shut down the Merritt Parkway for seven hours yesterday.
The crash happened at around 1:30 a.m. near Exit 53 in Stratford.
Police say Jesus Rivera, 27, died from his injuries. They say his passenger, 20-year-old Jessica Dasilva, remains in serious condition.
There are also reports that a Department of Transportation driver was hurt when he put flares on the Sikorsky Bridge after the crash.
