A man rescued three women and two children from a burning apartment building in Bridgeport Friday.

A man rescued three women and two children from a burning apartment building in Bridgeport Friday.
The man tells News 12 he was working on a roof of a house across the street when he saw the fire break out.
He says he brought his ladder to the apartment building and saved two kids and three women.
The fire broke out at 1130 Williams St. around 11 a.m.
Officials say there were seven rescues injured, and that the fire appeared to start on the second floor of the building. 
Officials had the fire under control around 12: 40 p.m.
