Man sentenced to 7 years in prison after drunken driving incident
Authorities say a man who was driving drunk when he hit a 17-year-old skateboarder with his car will spend the next seven years in prison.
According to police, 30-year-old Ramon Martinez-Urbina hit the boy on Willowbrook Avenue in Stamford last year, crashed into a stone wall and then ran from the scene.
The victim's attorney says the teen was critically hurt and still suffers debilitating memory loss.
Court officials say Martinez-Urbina's sentence came this week as part of a plea deal.
