? The city of Norwalk is rallying behind a former teen soccer star who is stricken with central nervous system sarcoma.
Chelsea Cohen, 17, is almost completely paralyzed, but can still talk. Cohen?s mother, Barbara Rittner, and twin brother say the family has to smile for Chelsea now. Cohen?s friends did just that when they held a car wash Saturday to raise funds to pay for her medical bills. Others are selling baked goods and bracelets imprinted with the word ?hope.?
Mayor Dick Moccia says Chelsea has captured a place in the city?s heart, so he gave the teen the key to Norwalk. Cohen says the outpouring of love and support gives her the strength to keep fighting.
