Mayor Jim Miron (D-Stratford) outlined his plans for Stratford in the first-ever State of the Town Address at Town Hall Friday.
Miron said the area is on the verge of change. He talked about cleaning up a local plant and creating jobs there. The cost of living was also on the agenda. Miron is working with a $168 million budget and dealing with the ongoing Sikorsky strike, which he maintains will have no bearing on raising taxes.
Miron has been in office for 108 days and is the first person to hold the position of mayor in Stratford. The position was previously known as town manager.
