A group of Melrose neighbors banded together to rescue a timid feline who got stuck in a tree. 
The Morris Avenue residents stood below the tree with blankets in hand and ready to catch the cat, who had been there for a day. 
One person climbed up the tree to encourage the cat to jump down. 
It was then caught in a blanket and ran away uninjured.
