Neighbors are still on edge after a double shooting that took place Wednesday in Milford.
Milford police say Michael Savignano, 56, was found with a gunshot wound to the chest on Hollywood Avenue. Police say suspected gunman Vincent Edwards, 48, ran from the scene toward his home on Midway Avenue and climbed on the roof. Officials say that is when he fired his gun once and then pulled the trigger on himself.
Both men died from gunshot wounds. Police say the men were familiar with each other, but they are unsure what prompted the shooting.
Residents in the area of Wilshire Avenue say the neighborhood is known to be friendly. Some neighbors say they were uncomfortable when Edwards and his family first moved to the neighborhood a few years ago. Some others say they simply never knew Edwards well enough to know if the incident could be expected.
