The Milford Fire Department received a sweet summer surprise today in the form of a new fire truck.
Fire officials say the new truck has the best of both worlds, giving firefighters a 75-foot ladder as well as holding water and a hose.
The new fire truck will replace a 12-year-old one at the department. The truck, which cost $680,000, was paid for by the city over a nine-month period.
