A woman who claimed to have been pulled over by a fake cop and assaulted was lying, Milford police said Tuesday.
Police officials said they did not know why Kimberly Hueffman, 29, made up the allegation. Last month, she told the authorities she had been sexually assaulted by someone in a police uniform and unmarked car.
Tuesday, police said she admitted she was lying after officials conducted an extensive investigation in search for a nonexistent suspect.
"She wasn't pulled over," Milford Police Chief Keith Mello said. "There was no unmarked police car. There was no individual wearing a police uniform. The incident just did not happen."
Milford police requested a warrant for Hueffman's arrest for her actions.
