Milford Pharmacy and Home Care on Broad Street geared up to administer Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine following its 11-day pause.
Owner and manager Jimmy Azhari told News 12 Connecticut that having the Johnson & Johnson shot back in stock brought more people out to get vaccinated.
He said once the vaccine went on pause, they thought they were not going to get any appointments - but once the pause was lifted, they received a large number of appointments and now are fully booked for Monday.

"I thought we weren't going to have any appointments, but we're just getting slammed with phone calls, emails, Facebook messenger that people want Johnson & Johnson," Azhari said.
The pharmacy plans on vaccinating 30 people plus walk-ins.
The pharmacy said they were administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for about eight days until they had to pause. They add that with appointments opening again for it, they are not hearing many concerns from people about the rare blood clots which put the vaccine on pause initially.
Azhari said people want the one-shot dose because they don't want to get the vaccines that require a second dose. He added that people are also choosing the one shot because they can get a vaccination for the virus out of the way and some don't like needles or the prospect of getting jabbed twice.
Azhari credited the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration for being thorough in explaining to Americans the benefits and risks of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Appointments are now available at the Milford Pharmacy for Tuesday and residents can make appointments on the pharmacy's website for the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines.
