Milford police say they are investigating a rash of shed break-ins where the thieves are stealing power equipment.
Police have reports of 10 break-ins in the last 10 days. All of the break-ins are in sheds or detached garages.
According to police, the thieves are taking equipment like snowblowers, leaf blowers and generators.
Police say some of the sheds have been unlocked, while others were latched and forced open.
They have added extra patrols to the neighborhoods that have been hit and also think the thieves may be using stolen vehicles to get there.
They say all of the thefts happened in the north and northwest sections of the city when the victims were likely asleep.
