Bobette's Take Out in Milford is preparing to compete in the 31st Annual Great Chowder Cook-Off in Newport on Saturday.
Owners of the eatery say it's a chance for a local small business to show it belongs with the big boys.
This is the restaurant's fourth year competing at Newport. While Bobette's has never won first place, its mussel chowder finished second in the seafood category in 2008.
