The Labor Department says Champions Grill and Bar in Milford owes employees more than $359,000.
The order comes after a lawsuit in which employees cited unlawful threats and terminations.
U.S. officials say this court-ordered amount is for back pay, emotional distress damages, withheld compensation and punitive damages.
Officials said that "the suit alleged that in January 2022, the employers threatened an employee who asked to be paid the compensation they had earned and unlawfully terminated employees who participated in an inspection by the department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration."
